Naber Technical Enterprises (NTE) is a corrections professional development, consulting and training company in California. NTE is accredited by Federal and California State Government Agencies. NTE has been delivering government approved correctional and public safety training for over 25 years nationally. We specialize in jail, juvenile detention, field probation and community parole. Our programs are designed for corrections officers, correctional supervisors, law enforcement managers and public safety administrators.

About NTE the company and its leadership

Naber Technical Enterprises (NTE) was founded by Bill Naber in 1981. Bill had been a regular criminal justice trainer at the Santa Rosa Regional Training Center and for the Marin County Sheriff since 1970. The company began by developing a number of technical courses for National Institute of Corrections (N.I.C.); U.S. Marshals Service, the California State Sheriff's Association, California Board of Corrections and for various other training associations using Bill's extensive knowledge of corrections, law enforcement, legal issues of the government workplace and international supervision/management research.

In addition to developing training courses, Bill worked as an Assistant Court Compliance Officer in the implementation of State and Federal court orders concerning management of adult and juvenile facilities.

NTE continues to expand and grow. As a company, NTE currently specializes in CUSTOMIZED TRAINING for criminal justice agencies and for regional training groups. In 1984 NTE began marketing nationally to government and criminal justice. NTE develops its own copyrighted programmed learning texts that can be easily modified to a specific department's needs and concerns. NTE currently offers over 250 training courses and programs qualified for certification and reimbursement by state and federal authorities. NTE provided an average of 10,000 eight hour training days nationally.

BILL NABER, Detention Administrator, Sonoma Sheriff's Captain, Retired

Mr. Naber retired as a Sheriff's Detention Administrator (Captain) in January 1984 with over 20 years service in law enforcement. He has commanded and administered two contemporary California detention systems requiring major reorganization and resolution of significant operational issues.

His formal training experience began with military service and progressed into college, university, and police academy law enforcement training programs. Training scope includes instruction, course development and program management through regional training centers, colleges, universities, California Standards and Training for Corrections program, and the National Institute of Corrections.

Since his law enforcement career retirement, Mr. Naber has been appointed as an Assistant Court Compliance Officer, auditing for state and federal courts. He is a nationally known Expert Witness on law enforcement topics. Mr. Naber is a regular guest speaker/facilitator at national conferences.

Mr. Naber's training and consulting firm, Naber Technical Enterprises (NTE) has earned national recognition for its contributions to criminal justice profession. N.T.E. currently offers 250+ different government and corrections courses, correctional programs, custody and probation seminars. Every year we update our main courses and develop new courses that are contemporary with law enforcement and corrections issues.

TANYA NABER, Owner

Ms. Naber has many years of experience in the business world. She has been Business Manager of NTE since 1992. Her leadership revised all office and financial procedures, the hiring of new staff, supervision of central office employees and oversight of NTE's many corrections training services. Her education is in Business Administration and Accounting.

About Our Corrections Instructors and Correctional Program Facilitators

NTE has a wide variety of correctional trainers and corrections facilitators. All our instructors are, or have been, practicing professionals in law enforcement, corrections, custody services, probation and parole supervision related public safety services. Individually and as teams, NTE presenters are available with very little notice and can travel.

We are proud to be associated with the International Association of Correctional Training Personnel (IACTP), the American Corrections Association (ACA), and the American Jail Association (AJA), and supporters of the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) in their constant efforts to improve the corrections profession.

We subscribe to the standards and principles of the National Association of Field Training Officers (NAFTO) for public safety training and trainers.
